Soap in the City

Proper hand washing could prevent millions of illnesses each year. Methicillin Resistant Staph aureus (MRSA), salmonella, and E. coli outbreaks are examples of preventable diseases often spread by poor hand hygiene. Most people do not really understand the mechanisms of disease transmission. They never find out if they have made someone ill by careless behavior, so they have little incentive to wash their hands as often and as thoroughly as they should. But what if the threat of becoming a Typhoid Mary hung constantly over their heads?

Soap in the City tells the story of Typhoid Mary in a brief and entertaining way that will echo in your memory! It also provides a memorable example of a girl washing her hands for as long as it takes to sing Happy Birthday, and it gives a summary of the situations where hands should be washed.

Soap in the City begins and ends with a catchy tune called "We're Dirty, Please Wash Us" that will send you singing all the way to the sink.

Don't let any of your associates, employees or students become the next Typhoid Mary. Show them Soap in the City. They will thank you.
