CME & Education Info
The Association provides a host of educational programs and materials for its members. We also accredit many hospitals and other health organizations to sponsor category one CME credit. The Association presents a CME program for physicians and practice staff the First Fridays of every month (except for July and August). Once a year, the Association presents its Annual Practice Education Seminar and the Annual Session offers CME programming as well.
When particular topics are timely, such as the current emphasis on opiate diversion, abuse and addiction, special programs are held at the MMA offices in Manchester or on-site at the practice location. The Chronic Pain Consultation Project offers website materials and on-site consultation.
MMA also operates the state’s Academic Detailing program which provides independent, unbiased current information on best practices in prescribing for a variety of medical conditions.
One of the most popular educational offerings is the ability of MMA staff to present programs on-site at a practice on topics including HIPAA staff training, Medical Marijuana and Health System Reform.
