Ship's Physician Needed for Transatlantic Cruise

Description:
Ship’s Physician needed for 45-day transatlantic cruise aboard Maine Maritime Academy’s Training Ship State of Maine (TSSOM).  Maine Maritime is looking for a Physician to sail on the second half of the summer training cruise departing Portland, Maine on June 18, 2017 returning to Castine, Maine on July 31, 2017.  Ports include: Scotland, Ireland and New York City. 
 
The ship's physician is responsible for the basic, emergency and primary care medical treatment of the nearly 300 students and crew aboard while underway.  The physician directly supervises the ship's nurse. Comfortable and private accommodations provided. Per diem.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT OR NURSE PRACTITIONER HOSPITALIST - Full Time or Per Diem, Bridgton Hospital, Bridgton, Maine

Bridgton Hospital, part of the Central Maine Medical Family, seeks a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join its well-established hospitalist program. The full time hospitalist PA/NP would be responsible for two regular weeknight shifts and every fifth weekend, allowing for a healthy work/life balance. The candidate would be responsible for overnight admissions and care of acute inpatients and swing bed patients in our 21-bed critical access hospital. This is a contracted position with opportunities for loan repayment and additional per diem hours. Previous hospital experience necessary.

Minimum Requirements: This candidate will work according to Maine State Rules and Regulations within established scope of practice.  Requirements:  Specialty Certification, current Maine License and DEA certification required.     Two years of hospital medicine experience preferred.  Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification, ACLS Certification is required.    Skills:  Basic Computer Knowledge and excellent Customer Service.
